Gerhard Heiberg

Gerhard Heiberg was President and CEO of Norcem from 1973 to 1987. After the merger of Norcem and Aker in 1987 he was President and CEO from 1987 to 1989; and Chairman of the Board of Aker SA from 1989 to 1996. He was Chairman of the Boards of Den Norske Bank from 1995 to 2000 and of the Norwegian Trade Council from 1995 to 2000; he is currently a partner of Norscan Partners AS in Oslo.

Gerhard Heiberg was Chairman, President and CEO of the Lillehammer 1994 Olympic Organising Committee (LOOC) from 1989 to 1994; Chairman, President and CEO of Lillehammer 1994 Paralympics from 1990 to 1994; member of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports from 1994 to 2017.

Gerhard Heiberg was Member of the International Olympic Committee – IOC – from 1994 to 2017. He is an Honorary Member of the IOC since 2017 and he was a Member of the Executive Board of the IOC from 2003 to 2011.
