Norwegian Risk Forum 2023 is NRCI´s 14th annual geopolitical conference where we welcome business leaders, investors and leading analysts from around the world. We look forward to insightful and high-quality presentations, and engaging and thought-provoking panel debates. During Norwegian Risk Forum 2023 you experience four dynamic and highly informative sessions.

Norwegian Risk Forum 2023 examines the theme - "An Era of Geopolitical Instability and Changing Global Order." In the first session we assess China´s global strategy after the end of its zero-Covid policy. Furthermore, we explore geopolitical dynamics, politcal risks and business opportunities in Southeast Asia, which is an important region with 700 million people.

In the second session we examine political risks and geopolitical developments in the Middle East and the Caucasus. In this session we focus on Azerbaijan, Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait. Therefore, we give particular attention to geopolitical dynamics and the risk outlook in the Gulf Region and the South Caucasus.

In the third session we examine the geopolitical landscape and broader strategic dynamics in eastern Europe and the Balkans. Currently, eastern Europe lies along the front line of the war in Ukraine. Simultaneously Europe´s facing a strategic challenge with the war´s consequences. This raises the question of Europe´s future. The Balkans is an important, yet often underappreciated region in southeastern Europe. People in Eastern Europe and the Balkans often feel that Western Europe forgot about them.

The fourth and final session delves into political, infrastructural, economic, and investment developments in western and eastern Africa. More specifically we examine Ghana, the Ivory Cost, Senegal, and Nigeria in western Africa; and Mozambique in eastern Africa.

Norwegian Risk Forum is held under the Chatham House Rule, which states that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) nor of any other participant may be revealed. Participants share reflections, gather insights and obtain analysis useful to develop existing and new business strategies. We do not reveal information from Norwegian Risk Forum 2023 after the conference. This is an exclusive international geopolitical conference only for registered and confirmed participants. We host Norwegian Risk Forum 2023 on Webex video-conference.

NRCI forms the annual Norwegian Risk Forum themes and programs through a careful examination of global geopolitical dynamics, business and infrastructure trends driving economic growth, new industry and business sector reforms enabling international investments and business operations in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. NRCI monitors international economic drivers and trends, and geopolitical dynamics impacting and changing risk equations in countries, regions and globally.

These observations form how we define and form Norwegian Risk Forum themes and programs every year.
