Norwegian Risk Forum 2020
October 22, Oslo

Navigating Business through Global Pandemics,
Energy Shocks and Geopolitical Inflection

Please save the date for NRCI´s 11th annual international Norwegian Risk Forum marking a milestone in NRCI’s history and in the history of Norwegian Risk Forum examining geopolitical risks and international business opportunities. Norwegian Risk Forum 2020 focuses on a timely and relevant topic which attracts the global business community’s attention and requires a balanced and nuanced geopolitical assessment.

During the Coronavirus / Covid-19 pandemic NRCI follows guidelines by Norwegian health authorities in regards to how many people are allowed in the same group and room during events. NRCI will host Norwegian Risk Forum 2020 via Cisco Webex - a secure video conference platform - if Norwegian health authorties does not permit events. NRCI provides a final update on this as at the conference website and we will send an e-mail to delegates who already registered, as soon as Norwegian health authorities release guidelines regarding events and gatherings in October 2020.

Norwegian Risk Forum constitutes NRCI’s annual international conference in Oslo since 2010. This is the only conference in Norway examining geopolitical risks and international business opportunities. Exclusive and intimate high-quality event where decision makers and business leaders experience focused and informative presentations and engaging panel debates. Norwegian Risk Forum held entirely in English fosters a deeper understanding among leaders from industry, finance, academia and diplomacy for how geopolitical risks impact international business opportunities around the world. The meetings are held under the Chatham House Rule, which states that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) nor of any other participant may be revealed. Participants share reflections, gather insights and obtain analysis useful to develop existing or new business strategies.

NRCI´s founder Arne Elias Corneliussen is the program chair for Norwegian Risk Forum. He selects annual conference themes based on emerging business and infrastructure trends driving economic growth, new industry or business sector reforms enabling international investments or sanctions-relief fostering trade and economic integration across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. NRCI monitors international economic drivers and trends and geopolitical dynamics impacting and changing risk equations in countries, regions and globally. These observations form how he defines Norwegian Risk Forum themes every year.
